| Water Resource Video Receives Top Honor |
WATER RESOURCE VIDEO RECEIVES TOP HONORBeaverton, Oregon May 5, 2008--Tualatin Valley Community Television (TVCTV) recently partnered with the City of Tigard to create an informational video about important water resource issues facing the Tigard Water Service Area (TWSA). The result was an Excellence in Communication and Conservation Award for the video "Water For Tomorrow" presented at the Annual Pacific Northwest Section of the American Waterworks (PNWS-AWWA) Awards Banquet held May 2nd in Vancouver, Washington. "Water For Tomorrow" addresses the importance of an adequate water supply and the need for a permanent solution to Tigard's long term water needs. Each of the future water options are discussed in full detail including interviews with key officials involved in the water resource decision making process. The Pacific Northwest Section of the American Water Works Association is comprised of over three-thousand drinking water professionals in Oregon, Idaho and Washington all dedicated to the conservation, engineering, and distribution of water.
"Water for Tomorrow" can be viewed on TVCTV Channel 28 on either the Comcast or Verizon Cable systems through the month of July.
