ACMA & TVCTV PRODUCE A WINNER

Tualatin Valley Community Television (TVCTV) in collaboration with the Arts & Communication Magnet Academy (ACMA) are pleased to announce a first place finish at the Signal to Noise Festival held May 11th at Southridge High School in Beaverton, Oregon. The Signal to Noise awards recognize excellence in original videos, animations, slide show and other moving image art created by students in the Beaverton School District.

TVCTV and ACMA joined forces this year to teach a series of studio production classes which guided students through each stage of the pre-planning to production process.

The Studio Television class placed first in the Music Video category for their original musical, "Math Mayhem." ACMA choir, dance and television students collaborated in the writing, producing and performing of "Math Mayhem," a music video that creatively illustrates a student's frustration during math class.

Local media professionals viewed over one hundred and fifty-eight entries awarding over thirty prizes in twenty-six categories to elementary, middle and high school students.
