FAQs

Q: How do I become a TVCTV producer?

A: You must attend a free Orientation which is held once a quarter to become a TVCTV member and then you must attend our free Producer's seminar which is held once a month.   Once you have completed these two requirements, you are  eligible to submit programs to TVCTV.

Q: Can anyone be a community producer?

A: To be eligible to use TVCTV facilities or services, you must live with the TVCTV service area, Other ways to be eligible are for you to work for a company located in our service area,  attend a school in the service area or volunteer for a non-profit agency within the service area.  If your eligibility is by your volunteer activities then you are confined to creating programs support only that non-profit agency.

Q: What does it cost to rent TVCTV cameras?

A:  There is no charge to use most of TVCTV facilities but you are required to take TVCTV training to certify you on our TV Production Studios, Field Cameras or non-linear Editing.  TVCTV charges a nominal fee for that training ranging from 30 to 60 dollars per course.  Classes are usually one day per week for three to six weeks depending on the type of training.

Q: I want to put a program on TVCTV channels that was produced elsewhere.  What do I have to do?

A: You need to attend the free Orientation and the Producer's Seminar.  You are then considered to be a Producer/Sponsor and TVCTV will treat you as though you did produce the program.  If there are any problems with the program, TVCTV contacts you and not the original producer.
