EDIT SUITE

Edit Bays now have 5 new top of the line, dual-core, intel Xeon Macs running Final Cut Studio 5.1.

We have also recently installed a PC "creation station" which features the following Adobe programs:  Photoshop CS3, Illustrator 10, Encore DVD 1.0, Audition 1.0, and Pagemaker 7.0.  Create files on this PC and easily transfer them to your Mac editing suite via our network connection.  You may reserve and use this creation station just like you would any editing suite.    If you are a current producer who is unfamiliar with our creation station, please contact our Public Education Trainer, Kevin Howard, for some one on one training at kevin@tvctv.org or 503-629-8534 ext 116.

STUDIOS

TVCTV has three studios available:

Studio A is a 28x40 production facility, with a 14 ft ceiling, three cameras, teleprompter, three stage areas already lit by Fren-L and LightTech Flourescent lights, one audio board with 32 channels, three DVC Pro VTR’s and a DVD recorder, an Ecolab Digital video switcher with DVE, two time base correctors and Inscriber graphic system and Master sync clocks, and a Genter phone system for live call-ins.

Studio B is a 10x20 production facility that also serves as a learning facility for the students at Arts & Communications Magnet Academy. In February 2005 this studio was renovated with state-of-the-art remote control cameras, teleprompter, and a Genter phone system for live call-ins.

Live Link Studio is a self-contained studio perfect for live call-in shows. The studio is equipped with one remote operated camera, and document camera, a computer with Internet access, and a Genter phone system for live call-ins.

FIELD CAMERAS

TVCTV has two different camera formats, DVC Pro and MiniDV, available for 48 hour check-outs.

TVCTV has six Panasonic AJ-D210 DVC Pro cameras with 14x5.5 Fujinon lenses.

TVCTV has six JVC GY-DV300 MiniDV cameras. These JVC cameras have the ability to encode and webcast. The JVC cameras have LCD color monitors and b/w viewfinders. They also have two camera settings that can be configured to your specific needs. They also come with fire-wire in/out jacks and s-video output, and two XLR in-puts.

We have a new addition to our field gathering gear - three new Panasonic AG-DVC60 cameras.  The Panasonic AG-DVC60 is a 3-CCD professional Mini DV Camcorder with the advantage over tiny prosumer camcorders of its shoulder-mount design.  Several developments in camcorder design make the DVC60 a formidable acquistion device for event or industrial videography or even special production requirements.  The camera has a high quality lens with 16x optical zoom, from 4.1 mm wide all the way to 65.6 mm full telephoto.  The digital zoom feature, 1.5x or 10x is designed to contribute the most minimal image degradation.  The optical image stabilization system helps control subtle vibrations even at the len's longest telephoto range.  The three 1/4 inch CCDs incorporate high signal-to-noise ratio for great dynamic range and low smear levels for shooting in very bright conditions.  Gamma correction, to emulate some of the characteristics of film, is available for special looks like lower contrast for greater dark or bright details.  Almost uniqe in industial or prosumer cameras is the DVC60's ability to capture images in total darkness with its infrared Nightime Shooting mode.  The camera has been intelligenlty designed to combine true professional features into an easy to use and lightweight package for shooters of all experience levels.
