STEPS TO CERTIFICATION
Producer Policies & Procedures ( pdf file)
Certified Field Producer: (Able to produce own programming)
- Participation in TVC-TV Orientation
- Participation in Field Production Series (3 classes)*
- Editing Series - Final Cut Pro or Premiere (3 classes)*
- Completion (shooting/editing) of sample field production
- Participation in Producers’ Seminar Class
- Individual/Group Pre-Production Meeting with Training Coordinator**
Certificate of Completion – Field: (Able to work crew for a Certified Field Producer)
- Participation in TVC-TV Orientation
- Participation in Field Production Series (3 classes)*
- Editing Series - Final Cut Pro or Premiere (3 classes)*
Certified Studio Producer: (Able to produce own programming)
- Participation in TVC-TV Orientation
- Participation in Studio Production Series (5 classes)
- Volunteer crew on at least one scheduled program in Studio A
- Participation in Producers’ Seminar Class
- Individual/Group Pre-Production Meeting with Training Coordinator**
Certificate of Completion – Studio: (Able to work crew for a Certified Producer)
- Participation in TVC-TV Orientation
- Participation in Studio Production Series (5 classes)
- Volunteer crew on at least one scheduled program in Studio A
Certificate of Completion – Studio (Group Individual Discipline***)
- Participation in TVC-TV Orientation
- Group training in Studio Camera and/or Basic Studio Control Room
- Participation in Group Studio Production
Certified Sponsor: (Able to produce own programming)
- Individual/Group Pre-Production Meeting with Training Coordinator**
* If you have your own camera and/or editing system, it is not necessary to take the indicated classes. **Individual/Group meeting with Training Coordinator will be scheduled separately. The session will go over the necessary production steps that will enable you to successfully execute the project youare intending to produce. *** As a group, each member will become certified on a specific piece of equipment. One member of the group must take the role of Producer and attend the Producers’ Seminar Class.
