FAQs

Q: TVCTV equipment looks really technically complicated. Do I need an electronics degree to attend the class?

A: While that might help it really isn't necessary.  TVCTV trains people from all walks of life and our classes make a complex system like a studio easy to learn. In five short weeks you can be creating your own show.

Q: Is the training expensive?

A: We offer most of our classes for $10 per day and most classes run 2-3 hours. This makes an hour of instruction that will last a lifetime cost less than a dozen donuts. But go ahead and bring the donuts to the class anyway!

Q: Do I have to take classes to use TVCTV equipment?

A: Anytime you use a technical piece of equipment you need to receive proper training on its use.  Not all crew positions require training such as; Director, Floor Director, audience wrangler, production assistant or caterer.  TVCTV allows persons from outside the service area to participate in a non-technical manner.  Classes are fun and a good way to meet others to help you on your productions.

Q: I work when the class is scheduled. Can I take it on another day?

A: Our facilities are in high demand and finding time to have the class is sometimes difficult.  If you have a group of five or more interested we can set up special training for a flat rate for the group. Or, you can sign up for the next quarter training cycle.
